We love art!

We always try to support the arts whenever possible. Whether it's by donating equipment to a non-profit organization like Dashboard Co Op, or by helping art festivals like Flux Night.  Realizing an artist's vision by taking it from conception to design is an incredible experience.

Here are some examples of art projects for which we have had the pleasure to participate.

Wireless Digital Signage

We were recently tasked by the general manager of The Buckhead Club to provide a digital signage solution for their meeting rooms. The days of printing, cutting/editing, and re-printing pieces of paper to display meeting information had become a frustratingly arduous task.

I knew that the existing finished ceiling and thick fire-walls would make it a challenge to run network cable back to the office from the meeting rooms.  Thanks to our friends at Gefen, we had wireless options. Knowing that the club didn't want to spend a fortune, we were happy to discover the reasonably priced Gefen's digital signage players.

Our lead technician Sean Griffiths devised a wooden housing that could be easily modified to account for the wiring, conduit, and other unknown obstacles. I initially thought of using prefabricated metal boxes, but the wood made the system much more practical. A simple yet elegant framing was inexpensively purchased from Home Depot, along with a red mahogany stain to match the club's interior decor.

Most business professionals are familiar with Powerpoint, and the Gefen software made it easy since it integrates seamlessly with any version. The system not only is user-friendly with powerpoint, but many other universal file-types are supported. The players can display full 1080p video content with stereo audio. A client can have a dynamic video with sound to greet their attendees. Gefen has truly modernized digital signage with an affordable, innovative wireless product.
