AMA @ The Mansion on Peachtree

This event was challenging, but nothing we couldn't handle. The challenge came from how crowded and sold-out the room became because of the hot-topic, social media and viral marketing! Representatives of Myspace, Facebook, Wallstreet Journal and others were presenting. There was little room, but after collaborating with the hotel staff and our AMA friends we managed to make it happen and it was without a doubt one of the most successful and entertaining luncheons in AMA history.

Another challenge was the 5 presenters that showed up right before the start with several types of media in multiple formats. We managed to move through each presentation without a hitch.

We even supplied a HD video camera and captured the presentations with no charge! We care about our clients, and we like to think that makes a difference. Be on the look-out for the video of Mike Haines, Advertising Director of Facebook on the AMA website.

SMPS 103 West

November’s SMPS (The Society for Marketing Professionals) meeting at 103 West featured a panel of, well, really smart people, who have opened architectural design firms in faraway places like China and India. Their stories of those adventures were fascinating. We are very proud of our relationship with the people of SMPS.

Fund Raiser for Grant Park's Charter School

On Saturday November 15th, Atlanta Pro AV was happy to donate the sound and entertainment for the Neighborhood Charter School’s annual Fall Fling. The fundraiser featured a host of celebrity guests and raised a lot of money for Grant Park’s award winning elementary school.

Urban Land Institute - Emerging Trends 2009

One of our newest clients, ULI (Urban Land Institute) held a recent function at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Center on Nov. 11th. They couldn't have chosen a better place! The lighting and glass sculptures (original Tobia Scarpa) made for the most elegant setting we've seen in a long time. We attempted to make our audio visual setup blend with the decor rather than stand out. A meeting is best when you don't even realize that anyone is even wearing a microphone.

Atlanta Telecom Professionals Awards

Congrats to Michael Potts, CEO of Motorola AirDefense Solutions, for winning the "2008 Atlanta Telecom Professional of the Year" award! The Crown Plaza Ravinia hosted the evenings ceremony, and we provided (2) 9x12ft truss projection screens w/ dress kits, (2) 5K projectors, (1) 42" Plasma Monitor, and (2) Mac computers to handle the video and Keynote presentations. If you haven't tried Apple's Keynote software, you don't what your PowerPoint is missing.

Women In Technology

Many thanks to the kind ladies of Women In Technology for choosing Atlanta Pro AV to handle the technology for their meetings. This past meeting in particular was outstanding, thanks to the great presentation given by Dan Darling, Chief Information Officer Turner Broadcasting System, Inc. He oversees so much of Turner's content, it's hard to imagine one man can do so much.

Fifth Annual ISB Building Bridges Awards Dinner

It was a fantastic event for all who attended the Annual Building Bridges Awards Dinner! Their goal of "Eliminating Stereotypes Through Education" is noble and we wish them well in doing so.
The event was held at The Hilton Atlanta Airport, and the staff was helpful and personable as always. The Hilton Airport is truly one of our favorite hotels in Atlanta.

American Marketing Association

We frequently provide audio-visual support for our friends at AMA. The guest speakers are always interesting and offer stellar advice on marketing!

T.A.G. Excalibur Awards 2008

Many thanks to TAG (Technology Association of Georgia) for letting us handle all the AV for their flagship event, The Excalibur Awards. It was held at the Intercontinental Hotel in Buckhead on Oct. 10, 2008. The event was fun and informative thanks to Pamela Pure, Vice President of The McKesson Corporation. Her keynote address on solving the health care crisis through better technology was captivating. We provided HD video recording and IMAG, staging, seemless video switching on two 9x12ft projection screens and 42" plasma screens.
